The Diversity Council
Expertise that accelerates change
The path towards an inclusive labour market is constantly evolving. That’s why the Belgian Diversity Charter is supported by an Advisory Board that forms the backbone of our strategy.
Our board members are all bridge-builders within the DE&I landscape (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion). They advise us on pressing societal issues and ensure that our tools and actions remain impactful, relevant and intersectional.

Annlore Defossez
About Annlore (She/Her)
In a world full of uncertainty, one truth remains: people are diamonds. All our differences, our interests, our personalities, are the unique facets that allow us to shine. Through inclusion, we bring those facets together to create a society that sparkles with unmatched value, beauty and joy. By embracing every voice, we shape a world that is not only more beautiful, but truly happier.

Bart Moens
About Bart (He/Him)
The place where you are born largely determines your chances of living a happy and healthy life, not just for a moment, but for a lifetime. This fundamental injustice of undeserved inequality is, for me, the core reason to work on inclusion. It deeply concerns me that people are excluded from meaningful employment, not because of their own actions, but due to circumstances beyond their control. Driven by this belief, I commit myself every day to building a more inclusive society.

Betty Inghelbrecht
About Betty (She/Her)
Having personally experienced both inclusion and exclusion at different moments in my life, and for different reasons, I have come to understand both the privilege of belonging and the harsh consequences of being left out. Through my studies in history, I gained a broader perspective on these experiences on a global scale, and on how they have shaped societies in profound ways. I believe humanity can do better. Within my own environment and sphere of influence, I strive to contribute to more positive inclusion for everyone and to meaningful progress.

Christel Ergo
About Christel (She/Her)
After 15 years in HR, always with a strong focus on people, I transitioned in early 2024 to a role in sustainability, covering both environmental and social aspects. Since then, I have continued to learn and have become a facilitator of the Diversity and Sexism Frescoes. I look forward to both learning from the group and contributing my expertise, while helping to shape the new Belgian Diversity Charter.

Matthias Nauwelaers
About Matthias (He/Him)
Society thrives when people plant trees whose shade they will never sit in. As someone with many privileges, I see it as my moral responsibility to act as an ally and leave this world better than I found it, especially when I think about my own growing children.

Pascale Ameye
About Pascale (She/Her)
I am passionate about DEI because I believe it is unacceptable that people are excluded simply for who they are. Everyone deserves to be seen, heard and valued. I want to stand up for those whose voices are not heard and help create spaces where every voice counts and everyone truly belongs.

Tamara Eelsing
About Tamara (She/Her)
I have been passionate about DEI since childhood, when I first felt anger at the unfair treatment of people based on their differences. My curiosity about cultures led me to live in the US, the UK and Japan, and now in Belgium, enriching my global perspective as a Dutch national. I am particularly interested in unconscious bias and how it shapes behaviour and systems. Currently, I focus on addressing systemic sexism in organisations and driving meaningful change in workplace culture.
Why a Diversity Council?
Together, we know more
An inclusive society is a mosaic of perspectives. Our Advisory Board safeguards the quality of our work and helps us address blind spots. Their independent perspective is the driving force behind our continuous evolution.
Our vision on representation
Representation matters
Within our Advisory Board, we aim to reflect the diversity of Belgian society. This means intentionally creating space for different genders, ages, physical and mental abilities, cultural backgrounds and neurodiversity. Because those who help shape the future should represent society as a whole.
