The Belgian Diversity Charter enables all Belgian organisations, private and public, regardless of their profit objectives, to initiate, develop and promote inclusive practices in the workplace. We facilitate access to the knowledge, network and activities of the EU Platform of Diversity Charters.

Why a Diversity Charter?
A diversity charter defines a set of measures that can be implemented to promote diversity, non-discrimination and equal opportunity in the workplace. It is suggested, and a growing body of studies proves, that employers - regardless of the size of their structure - who want to combat discrimination and promote diversity in the business environment, both internally and externally, really benefit from signing such a document. Signing our diversity charter is a voluntary action that provides access to a range of resources, such as guidance documents, training, and so on, offered to ensure that the company develops a coherent and effective diversity policy.
Embedded in the EU
What is unique about our charter is that we are part of the European Network of Diversity Charters. A only EU accredited network.

The charter and you

Signing a statute or charter implies a public commitment to work with others to promote diversity and inclusion. Visibility of the commitment in the workplace, both inside and outside the company, and dissemination of messages/knowledge about the benefits of equality and diversity and against discrimination.
We offer you regular digital, physical and hybrid activities that provide opportunities for sharing knowledge and experience, increasing insights and networking. Also access to the European network and platform within the European Commission organising workshops and co-hosting European Diversity Month with other charters in May.
